The regular city tour takes approx. 1 hour or 1,5 hours. The duration of our trips depends on the traffic on the water. For this reason it may be that a trip sometimes takes shorter or longer.
If you want to enjoy a longer trip, you can rent a boat from us, see boat rental, or book a cruise on the Vecht.

We provide round trips daily from 11 a.m.
The tour boat departs every full hour from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. In the weekends and summer, we have a departure every half hour or every 20 minutes as well. Look for the current departure times on our website, in the calendar.With boat rental, any desired day and time is possible until 10 p.m.

We do not offer refreshments on regular tours. In addition, food is not permitted on board these trips. You are allowed to have a drink; as long as they are non-alcoholic drinks.
If you want food and drinks on board, you can rent a boat, on which refreshments are allowed and we offer various options. More on this can be found here.

The one-hour route sails via the Oudegracht to the reopened Catharijnesingel on the west side of the city. The route remains the same no matter the starting point (Hoog Catharijne or the Oudegracht).
The one and a half hour route sails via the Oudegracht to the beautiful Stads Buitengrachten on the east side of the city.

We now have two locations where you can board; on the Oudegracht or under Hoog Catharijne.

From Hoog Catharijne we have one-hour boat trips on the Catharijnesingel and the Oudegracht.

From the Oudegracht we have boat trips of one and one and a half hours.
Hoog Catharijne (the mall)
Our departure point and kiosk is located on the ground floor of Hoog Catharijne (find our kiosk INSIDE): Catharijne Esplanade next to number 8.
There are stairs and an elevator to reach the jetty under the shopping center. This jetty is also accessible from the outside.
Oudegracht
Our departure point and ticket office is at the Viebrug. Oudegracht 85.
Via a stone staircase of 21 steps with 2 handrails you go to the wharf where the tour boat is waiting.
Groups can get on and off at the Nieuwekade in consultation. There are no stairs here, but the quay slopes gradually, there are, however, three steps to get into the boat.
Are you renting a tour boat from us? You can then, after consultation, get on and/or off at different locations.

We can set our digital guide system that works on GPS to 8 different languages. We try to use a maximum of 3 languages per trip, otherwise you might hear a story about an object you have already passed!

Yes! Your four-legged friend is also welcome on board. You don’t have to pay anything extra for this.
Please note: dogs are not allowed in Hoog Catharijne, so to start the cruise from here you have to go outside, through the passage over the footpath, to the jetty!

Utrecht is easiest to reach by public transport; the Neude is the nearest bus stop. It is about a 10-minute walk from Central Station. Our boarding location Hoog Catharijne is located in the shopping center attached to the station. There is also parking below!
If you come by car, the Q-Park La Vie parking garage is the closest to departurepoint Oudegracht.

All trips are subject to change, please book in advance. We do not reserve fixed seats on board. The indicated prices do not include tips and any refreshments, unless stated otherwise. All prices are in euros. Prices for children apply for the age of 4 to 12 years, for persons from 13 years the adult rate applies. The minimum number of participants for a day trip is 15 people. All prices mentioned are incl. VAT. Price changes and changes in the timetable reserved.

All our agreements are subject to the passenger transport conditions of the Central Bureau for Rhine and Inland Navigation (CBRB)/Verenigde Nederlandse Passagiers-Rondvaartbedrijven (VNPR), filed with the District Court in Rotterdam.
Our Cancellation Conditions apply to cancellations of booked trips as filed with the Chamber of Commerce in Utrecht under number 30206769.
The client can cancel the order confirmation by sending a written and dated notification to Rederij Schuttevaer VOF. In the event of cancellation more than one month before the departure date stated in the confirmation, the client owes Rederij Schuttevaer VOF 25% of what it would owe to Rederij Schuttevaer VOF if the order confirmation were upheld. Likewise, the client owes 50% in the event of cancellation at the latest one month before the departure date and 100% within 14 days before the departure date. The client must take care of a cancellation insurance himself.
